Destiny is a great teenager who treats everyone on her team kindly and respectfully. She is determined, hardworking, and funny. Destiny is focused on catching up in school, working through her trauma in therapy, trying new activities, and building a bright future. She has formed strong bonds in her foster home and feels safe for the first time. Destiny is excited about new experiences, like school dances, summer camps, learning to drive, opening a savings account, improving her reading and writing skills, trying a sport, and making friends with girls her age. She also wants to learn how to stand up for herself. Destiny lives with her foster mother, and they get along really well. She shares that foster care has been a positive experience, and she is grateful for the support she receives while the court works with her mom. Destiny enjoys makeup, skincare, cow print, clothes, shoes, music, spooky movies, getting her nails done, playing softball, watching the Reds play baseball, visiting Kings Island amusement park, and going to the Cincinnati Zoo. She is also excited to try new restaurants, like Red Lobster, Outback, Olive Garden, and the Cheesecake Factory, many for the first time.

Destiny is going to her first school dance. She has decided to go with friends instead of a boy, and is excited to get ready with the girls. Destiny likes to do her own lashes, eyeliner, and eyeshadow, and she is excited for her social worker to curl her hair. Destiny is closely bonded with her foster mother and her social worker. Unfortunately, her foster mother just had surgery and will have to miss the dance. Destiny is leaning on her social worker in her foster mom's absence, but she needs some cheering up. She likes the respite providers she is staying with, but it's not the same as having her person there. This mirror will help Destiny do her makeup, feel pretty, and enjoy her first dance.
