Kay is a sweet girl who has been a victim of domestic violence. She and her mother had to relocate to escape her abusive father. Despite her young age, Kay is wise beyond her years due to having to be a support system for her mother. She also suffers from anxiety and PTSD. Despite her present situation, Kay is extremely resilient, and given time, she will heal. She just needs the opportunity to be a little girl.

Kay is a sweet little girl with a big imagination. She loves her dolls and enjoys dressing them up, doing their hair, and engaging in make-believe play. Kay dreams of having a doll styling head so she can pretend to be a hairstylist. She thinks it would be really fun to have a salon when she grows up.
