Lay was neglected by both of her parents. She was placed with her grandmother at the age of 11. She is doing well in school; there have been some struggles, but she works through them. She is participating in basketball and track. She is interested in learning how to play golf. She enjoys arts and crafts. She is in the choir at church and enjoys singing.

Lay is starting golf lessons and is very excited about this opportunity. She is asking for putters that come with golf balls so she can begin her lessons. This will give her a great chance to enjoy the outdoors while learning a new skill.
