Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationSerenity is a sweet little girl who, although having a diagnosis of autism, thrives in life. She loves exploring and dancing and is a big cuddle bug! She is a social butterfly and has energy for days! Serenity is known for giving the best hugs! Serenity does struggle with language and speech, which makes forming relationships with her peers difficult, but she desires those friendships and is working hard to learn to build them. Serenity is happy to be in a stable foster placement.
Serenity would really benefit from having a trampoline at home. It can help her with her sensory needs and overall growth in many ways. As an autistic child, there are times when she might need extra sensory input to feel calm and balanced. Jumping on a trampoline gives her the movement her body craves, helping her feel more grounded and reducing feelings of being overwhelmed. Using a trampoline can also help her improve skills like coordination, balance, and planning her movements. As she jumps and lands, she's strengthening her muscles and becoming more aware of her body, which is important for her daily activities. Plus, a trampoline provides a fun and safe way for Serenity to let out energy. Instead of feeling overstimulated, she can jump and reset her body. This can help her transition between activities better and be more engaged when learning, playing, or socializing. A trampoline can bring her joy and boost her confidence. It allows her to play in a way that's enjoyable and helps her feel independent. With the right supervision and safety measures, a trampoline can be a great tool for her development and fun every day.
