Emely arrived to the care of Ascentria's Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Program in January 2026. She is originally from Honduras and came to the U.S. seeking safety, stability, and educational opportunities. Now living in a foster home, Emely is working to learn English and complete high school.

Emely does not own a laptop and is asking for an iPad to use for both school and leisure. She is a sophomore in high school and is interested in exploring either a Cosmetology or Culinary Arts program after graduation. An iPad will help her continue working toward her future while also allowing her to stay connected while on the go. Additionally, the iPad will make it easier for Emely to communicate with her family back in her home country of Honduras, whom she misses.
