Zion entered the foster care system at the age of 14. Despite facing significant challenges, she never lost sight of her dreams. She is working hard to embrace her identity and transition into the woman she truly wants to be. Balancing school, personal growth, and life in foster care requires strength, and Zion has an abundance of it. Determined to build a future that reflects her resilience and passion, Zion aspires to become an ultrasound technician. She is particularly drawn to this career because it allows her to help others and make a meaningful difference in healthcare. Zion is excited about being part of life-changing moments for expectant families. Focused, compassionate, and driven, Zion is creating a future on her own terms. Her story exemplifies courage, authenticity, and the power of hope.

Zion is a proud transgender graduate who has worked hard to reach this important moment in her life. For a long time, she hasn’t been able to style her hair the way she really wants. As graduation day gets closer, she hopes to feel confident and recognized on this special day that honors her journey. Zion went into foster care at 14 after facing rejection from friends and family because she had identified as a woman since she was 10. Growing up as a transgender person often made her feel alone, but she has always wanted to be true to herself. Now, as she gets ready to finish school and start the surgeries she has dreamed about, she knows this is a big moment for her. Graduating in June, Zion will only have her advocate supporting her at the ceremony. Receiving a wig would mean the world to her. It would help her feel more confident and truly seen as she walks across the stage, celebrating her graduation and her journey.
