Kinialoha has been in foster care for several years, and this is her second time. Her mother is on the run from the police, and her father is incarcerated. She has a super big heart and is too grown for her age. She misses her brother and grandma a lot.

Kinialoha takes her schoolwork very seriously. Even though the school year is nearing its end, she wants to be prepared for the next year already. She told her foster mom that she thinks this backpack is very pretty and hopes to carry it with her from class to class. She also plans to use it during the summer when she goes to the beach with her friends.
