Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, IncAndy's father is currently incarcerated and struggles with addiction, while his mother's whereabouts are unknown due to an active warrant for her arrest. He is now living with his grandmother. Because of difficulties in getting him registered at a school, he is being homeschooled. Andy has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and is significantly behind in his studies due to the frequent school transfers he experienced before moving in with his grandmother. However, he is determined to catch up in school and eager to learn. Andy is excited about living with his grandmother, as it brings much-needed stability to his life.
Andy has been living in a trailer with his grandmother, where space was always tight, and personal belongings were often shared. Now they’re moving into a duplex, and for the first time, he’ll have his own bedroom. He can hardly contain his excitement! With this new freedom comes the need for a dresser to store his clothes, a significant step towards independence. The thought of finally having a place to call his own makes him feel thrilled and hopeful for what lies ahead.
