Maria is doing well in school and is finishing up her senior year. She is working part time for her local school district. She is choosing to remain in foster care until she ages out at 21. Maria wants to pursue a degree in criminal justice and a job in law enforcement. She is currently expecting a baby girl in April with her boyfriend. Maria is a super sweet girl who excels at everything she puts her mind to.

Maria is an older youth in foster care who has a daughter who just turned one this month. Although her daughter is not yet walking, she is crawling all over the place. To enter Maria's living room, you have to go down two steps that are bricked over by the previous owners. These bricks can be very dangerous for her daughter if she were to fall and hit her head. The opening to this room is extra large at 67 inches, and the stairs are physically located within the living room. Therefore, Maria needs something that is both adjustable and wide enough to fit the space.
