Ricardo is a young man transferring to UCR who supports himself with no contact with his family at all. He is eager to continue his higher education and has set himself up for a bright future. He has managed to get by with the support of friends who have become family but they are unable to help him financially. It is still too early to tell what Ricardo would like to do after graduation.

Ricardo is an independent student at UCR and does not have family support. As he builds his social and professional network in preparation for graduation and his job search, he has taken up a new hobby: golf!
