Taylor is a strong young mom trying to rebuild her life after escaping an abusive relationship. While she was pregnant, she survived a horrific stabbing attack and thankfully both she and her baby made it through. Her abuser is now in prison, but Taylor still faces the lasting effects of trauma, including PTSD, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and panic attacks. Despite all this, she’s committed to healing, attending therapy sessions whenever she can, and finding small joys in music, movies, video games, and, above all, time with her son.

Taylor is looking forward to spending Memorial Day with her son at a public park. She plans to rent a spot by a lake where he can swim and enjoy time with a few close friends. He loves swimming, and after a difficult period, it will be a chance for him to relax and just be a kid again. They also hope to end the day with a small barbecue to celebrate Memorial Day and enjoy time together.
