Catholic Community Services of Utah- Refugee Foster CareKamal has successfully transitioned out of foster care into independent living and has been doing a great job managing life on his own. He enjoys staying connected to his culture by cooking foods from his home country. He works very hard and is also learning how to balance work and personal life. Kamal is very determined—when he sets a goal, he puts in the effort to achieve it.
Kamal lives in an apartment, and carrying groceries up to his unit is very difficult, especially after a long overnight shift. He is requesting a wagon to help him move groceries from the parking garage to his apartment more easily. This would make his trips less tiring and more efficient, allowing him to carry more items at once instead of making several trips. It would also help him shop in larger quantities so he doesn’t have to go to the store as often.
