San Diego Youth ServicesGavin is full of energy and has a natural gift for making others smile. He is currently working on overcoming some personal barriers by attending therapy once a week, showing his dedication to growth and resilience. Gavin lives in a foster home with two loving caregivers, and he feels grateful to share this home with his brother by his side. In this supportive environment, Gavin is free to be himself—without pressure to change or hide who he is. Gavin admits he only somewhat enjoys school, but he especially loves his favorite subject, Art, where he can express himself creatively. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time at home and listening to music, which brings him comfort and joy.
Gavin is a typical teenager who enjoys playing video games, especially after focusing on his schoolwork in high school. Gaming helps him relax, recharge, and take a break from daily stress. It is also how Gavin stays connected with his friends. Playing online allows him to talk and spend time with them, which is important for his social life and sense of belonging. Gavin would really benefit from a PlayStation controller. Having a working controller would let him keep playing the games he enjoys and stay connected with his friends.
