Malaysia is a kind young girl who loves doing her friends’ hair and has dreams of becoming a cosmetologist. Her mom is currently going through financial challenges and is not able to afford extra items right now, so she is seeking support from community resources.

Malaysia would really like a new pair of sneakers for this summer when she visits her grandma in Arizona. Unfortunately, her mother is not able to afford the sneakers. Having a pair of sneakers would help Malaysia feel prepared and comfortable for her trip and make the experience more special as she spends time with her grandmother.
