Darius has been in foster care for nearly a decade. Growing up in this system has not been easy for him; he experienced a lack of stability as he was constantly moved from one placement to another. Now, as an adult, Darius has finally achieved stability in his life. He is determined to make better choices and is motivated to reach his goals. Darius aspires to obtain his high school diploma to improve his employment opportunities, and he is even considering attending college.

Darius has had a very difficult year and experienced homelessness after losing his housing. He has worked hard to get back on his feet and is now living in a shared housing program. He is very happy to finally have stable housing again. Darius enjoys cooking for himself and his roommates. He would like a grill so he can host weekly cookouts and share meals with the people he now lives with. Having a grill would help him build connection and create positive moments in his new home.
