Jailah is extremely passionate about her siblings and feeling part of a family. Jailah has been through a lot in her life from being in foster care, to adopted by a family member, to being placed back in foster care earlier this year. She has two sisters and a brother who are also in foster care but they are not placed in the same home. Thankfully they are able to stay in contact, remaining close and speaking frequently. Jailah has is very resilient and has overcome numerous obstacles in her life, proving that when she puts her mind to something she can be very successful. She loves to listen to music, draw and dance.

Jailah attends a cooking class, which she really enjoys. She is learning how to cook simple, inexpensive meals, and the class has helped build her confidence, self-esteem, and independent living skills. An apron would help her feel more “official” while she is cooking and support her continued growth in the class.
