Maury is a focused and hardworking young man who’s building his future one step at a time. After years of school disruption due to frequent placement changes, he’s now thriving in JobCorps—completing his high school diploma and receiving hands-on HVAC training. He moved into AcademySTAY in fall 2024 and spent a year sharpening life skills like budgeting, time management, and saving toward a car. Maury also works as a telecom sales representative. His next goal is full-time employment in a skilled trade—ideally HVAC or maintenance—where he can apply everything he’s worked so hard to learn.

A tool kit and drill set would help Maury in his current apprenticeship and support his future goals in construction and heavy equipment work. Having his own tools would let him practice and complete tasks more independently and with more confidence. Right now, he often has to borrow tools from others, which can make training and hands-on work harder. This support would help him keep building his skills and work toward long-term success in the trades.
