Naomi is a bright, energetic little girl who loves to move, play outside, and explore the world around her. She faces some sensory and behavioral challenges but is making steady progress and responds well to structure, routine, and supportive relationships. Naomi is eager to learn and shows a growing ability to regulate her emotions with the right tools and guidance. She originally entered foster care due to her parents' struggles with substance use, and she continues to process the complex feelings that come with being separated from them. Unfortunately, Naomi also experienced additional trauma after being removed from a previous foster home, which disrupted her sense of safety and stability. Despite these setbacks, she is incredibly resilient. With a strong support system in place, Naomi is now in a nurturing environment that encourages her to heal, grow, and build trusting relationships. Her care team and family are committed to helping her move forward while her parents also work on their own healing, with the hope of eventual reunification. Naomi is a spirited, kind-hearted child with so much potential—and with continued love, structure, and encouragement, she has a bright and promising future ahead.

A sensory sock would be a highly beneficial tool for Naomi as she navigates challenges related to ADHD, ODD, RAD, PTSD, and Autism. The gentle compression provides deep-pressure input that helps calm her nervous system, giving her a sense of safety, security, and body awareness. For Naomi, this “hug-like” sensation can reduce anxiety, overstimulation, and emotional outbursts, while offering a safe space to self-soothe during moments of stress or sensory overload. It can be especially helpful in supporting emotional regulation and building a sense of control when she feels overwhelmed.
