Chauntae is a sweet and creative young girl with a gentle heart. She loves making puppets, watching SpongeBob SquarePants, and enjoying Disney movies. She also loves animals and spending time outside, where she feels happy and relaxed. Chauntae can be shy and sometimes has a hard time making friends, especially in new situations. But at her foster home, she opens up more and enjoys playing with the other children. Her foster parents are helping her build confidence and feel more comfortable connecting with others. Chauntae loves hugs and feels safest in caring, supportive environments. With encouragement and support, she continues to grow and shine.

Chauntae would love to have her own swing set! Chauntae’s foster parents are continuing to work toward creating a stable and permanent home for her. She is still dealing with uncertainty about her future, and having a safe outdoor space of her own could help her feel more secure and settled. Chauntae loves being outside and enjoys swinging, sliding, and bouncing. A swing set with different play options would give her a fun and healthy way to move her body, release energy, and relax. Outdoor play can also help children with PTSD manage stress and emotions. Busy public parks can feel overwhelming for Chauntae because of the noise and crowds. Having a swing set at home would give her a calm, familiar place to play where she can feel safe and comfortable. It would also let her choose when she wants to play with others or spend quiet time alone. Most importantly, having her own swing set would help Chauntae feel like she truly belongs in her foster home and is an important part of the family.
