Sophia is a lively and independent child who always tries her best and encourages those around her. She is currently in foster care and living with her aunt. She shared that she sees beauty in everything around her. Sophia has found a passion for helping children find their voice. She wishes she had someone to do that for her when she was younger, because she feels she would have spoken up more. She is also the captain of her high school volleyball team, which she says is one of her biggest sources of support and confidence. She is doing very well in school, with all A’s and one B+, and she is working hard to improve it to an A.

Sophia is a hardworking student who is determined to do well in her academics. She is currently in foster care and living with her aunt. She is requesting a new pair of shoes for her summer college classes so she can attend comfortably and earn college credit. Sophia shared that her current shoes are one size too small, which has been causing her foot pain and making them very uncomfortable to wear. A new pair of shoes would help her feel more comfortable during her summer classes and would also be useful for the upcoming school year.
