Taylor is a strong young mom trying to rebuild her life after escaping an abusive relationship. While she was pregnant, she survived a horrific stabbing attack and thankfully both she and her baby made it through. Her abuser is now in prison, but Taylor still faces the lasting effects of trauma, including PTSD, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and panic attacks. Despite all this, she’s committed to healing, attending therapy sessions whenever she can, and finding small joys in music, movies, video games, and, above all, time with her son.

Taylor is eagerly anticipating Memorial Day, as it coincides with her son’s birthday. She plans to celebrate this special day at a public park by a beautiful lake, where he can swim and enjoy quality time with a few close friends. After facing a difficult period, this gathering will provide him with the chance to relax and simply be a kid again. To make his birthday even more memorable, Taylor would love to have cupcakes and ice cream to share with the kids. These sweet treats would add a joyful touch to the celebration, creating delightful moments filled with laughter and happiness.
