A phone for Elijah's who is working on job application
Elijah, 18 years old, TN
Wish submitted by:
Partnership for Families, Children and AdultsElijah is new to his transitional living program. He recently aged out of foster care but is in extended services. He likes to play basketball and listen to music. He has expressed interest in working in a wildlife job in the future. He is actively applying to college currently and wants to make the best of his life despite prior circumstances.
Elijah is requesting a phone. He is currently looking for jobs and completing school applications, but he has to rely on his caseworkers to help with most of these tasks because he does not have a phone or laptop. Having a phone would allow Elijah to take more initiative and manage applications on his own, which he feels would help him move through the process faster and become more independent. It would also make it easier for him to stay in touch with family and friends, as he now lives far from them. A phone would allow him to call, text, and video chat with his loved ones regularly.
Partnership for Families, Children and Adults requests this wish for Elijah.
