Joshua performs exceptionally well academically, often achieving near-perfect scores on tests and projects. He is consistently respectful toward others and holds high aspirations for both his personal and professional future. His current focus is on his education, maintaining strong family connections, and breaking cycles within his family history. Joshua has had intermittent involvement with the Division throughout his life for parental support services. He has been exposed to domestic violence and substance use in the home. He lives with his single mother and two sisters in Section 8 housing. The family has limited financial resources and few outside supports, and his biological father is currently incarcerated.

Joshua would love a rolling computer desk and gaming chair, as his current setup is breaking and no longer stable or comfortable to use. Having a proper, supportive chair and desk would help him stay comfortable and focused while completing homework and school assignments, allowing him to better concentrate on his academic goals. He would also use this space to unwind at home by playing video games, which provides him with a healthy way to relax and manage stress. In addition, having his own designated workstation would help him better organize his space and give him a quiet area away from his siblings when he needs time to focus or decompress.
