Ethan has been involved in the foster system for a large portion of his life, already being removed from his home when he was younger due to concerns regarding his parents, and then returned to the home. Ethan was placed into a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) at the request of his parents. While at the residential facility, Ethan and his siblings were removed from their parents for the second time. Ethan successfully discharged and is now in a new foster home without his siblings, and is still adjusting to the change but is being extremely resilient and brave. Ethan is very respectful and patient with his foster parents and case workers throughout this season of intense change.

Over the past few weeks, Ethan has experienced several changes in his home and daily life, but he has not asked for much from his foster parents or case workers. The one thing he continues to ask for is a NASA Shuttle Carrier Aircraft Lego set. Ethan has shared his interest in becoming a pilot one day, and this set connects to that passion in a fun and meaningful way. It would also make a great surprise for his upcoming birthday.
