Kristen is a dynamic and supportive person. She has a great sense of humor and provides a safe space for other youth in foster care. Having faced tremendous challenges, including the loss of two parents to suicide and her own mental health struggles, she has turned her pain into a passion for helping others as a therapist. After aging out of foster care. Kristen spent over a year homeless while attending community college on scholarships. Despite these hardships, she worked hard and graduated with a master’s degree as a single mother. Now, she is a therapist working with vulnerable children and teens. Kristen is full of joy and loves deeply. She enjoys sushi, spending time with her dogs, go-karting, and exploring new places. She encourages others to be playful, find joy in laughter, and appreciate the beauty around them. Kristen has big dreams for the future and inspires those around her to overcome their past challenges.

Instead of using a bulky laptop that could create distance or distraction while typing. This specific smart notebook will allow her to maintain eye contact and emotional connection during sessions. As a former foster youth, Kristen understands the importance of building trust and dignity in therapy. She has tried various tools to take notes in a more natural way, but has found this smart notebook to be the most effective. Even though she is working, she does not have the financial means to buy this smart notebook on her own. With her passion for improving the system, she aims to enhance the sense of safety and comfort for the young people she serves.
