He recently moved to a new foster home in a town where he does not know a single person. He arrived after the school year had already started, which made meeting classmates nearly impossible.
In a small town where he has not had time to build a social circle, Gary connects with other kids his age by gaming online. He can stay in touch with people he grew up with, meet new people, and feel less isolated while he settles in. An Xbox would give him that vital connection during a lonely stretch of his life.
