Demetrius has always been a strong advocate for himself. He speaks up when he needs assistance and strives to follow his heart. Over the years, he has overcome many obstacles and always perseveres. Although he is alone in the foster care system and doesn’t communicate with any family, he maintains a positive outlook. He serves as an inspiration to everyone around him.

Demetrius has faced many challenges, moving between group homes several times. Despite these difficulties, he is determined to get back on track and is on the path to graduating. He has enrolled in summer school, and having a laptop would greatly assist him in completing his assignments while at the group home. Demetrius dreams of attending college to study Sociology because he wants to help other youth in group homes navigate the system. He aims to use his own experiences to make a positive impact on their lives.
