Jordan has faced significant challenges from a very young age. He was exposed to drugs in utero and early instability, and he also witnessed violent and traumatic events during his early childhood. These experiences have made it hard for him to trust others and feel safe, even with ongoing support and services. He has been introduced to three potential pre-adoptive families, but none moved forward due to behavior challenges connected to his trauma. As Jordan has gotten older, he has become more quiet and reserved. It takes time for him to feel comfortable and connect with others. However, people who spend consistent time with him, like his CASA volunteer, are starting to see more of his personality and interests come out. Jordan enjoys listening to music and likes Pokémon, especially collecting Pokémon cards. He also likes building and creating things with his hands. These interests have been helpful in building connection with him and giving him positive ways to express himself.

Jordan has recently started opening up about his interests and enjoys collecting Pokémon cards. For a teen who has faced many challenges and often finds it hard to connect with others, this hobby has become an important source of comfort and a way to express himself. A Pokémon binder would give Jordan a safe place to organize and protect his growing collection. It would also support something he truly enjoys and help build his confidence, while giving him a positive way to connect with others.
