Kemari is a resilient and thoughtful young man who has spent years with a dedicated foster parent who’s provided him with stability, care, and a chance to heal. While he once struggled with trust and communication, Kemari has made significant emotional progress. His caregiver is thoughtfully considering adoption and working closely with mental health professionals to ensure Kemari continues to thrive. Like many youth who’ve faced uncertainty, Kemari’s behaviors in the past were rooted in fear and anxiety during times of change, not defiance. With consistent support and a structured environment, he is learning to feel safe, connected, and hopeful again. Kemari’s foster parent is doing everything she can to meet his needs, but support is needed.

Kemari has been working hard on his studies and making great progress with his reading skills. He would love a gift card to help purchase new clothing, as he has grown a lot over the summer and needs clothes that fit comfortably. Having clothes that fit well will help him feel confident and ready for the new school year. This is wish 1 of 2 so that Kemari can get what he needs.
