Bluetooth speaker for Kayley to keep in her dorm room

Kayley, 18 years old, NJ

Wish submitted by:

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Monmouth County

Kayley is currently placed with her maternal grandmother, who has been her safe and stable support system since she was young. She resides with her two older brothers, who have aged out of foster care, as well as her sister, who remains in foster care with her. Being surrounded by her family has provided Kayley with the love, security, and consistency she needs to thrive. Kayley hopes that her family will be granted Kinship Legal Guardianship (KLG), allowing them to move forward with stability and permanency while maintaining the important family connections that mean so much to her. She also hopes to continue visiting with her mother and preserving that relationship. As Kayley prepares to begin college this fall, she is excited about the opportunities ahead and looks forward to continuing her journey with the support of her family by her side.

Kayley will be graduating from high school in just a few short weeks and is excited to begin her college journey this fall. As she prepares for freshman year, she could greatly benefit from dorm room essentials to help make her transition to college life a little easier and more comfortable. One item that Kayley would especially love is a portable speaker so she can listen to her favorite music while getting ready in the shared dorm bathrooms and shower rooms. Having a few practical items for her dorm would help her feel prepared, confident, and excited as she takes this important next step toward her future.
