Tamarisk CommunityLennda is a former foster youth who loves boba, tutoring kids in math, cooking, and exploring with friends. A few years ago, she was diagnosed with blepharospasm, a neurological movement disorder causing uncontrollable muscle spasms around the eyes. She is still the same curious, friendly person she always was. She just cannot get around the way she used to.
Since her diagnosis, Lennda's independence has shrunk significantly. She has had to turn down work and social opportunities because she cannot get there. An electric scooter would give her back the ability to move through her community, run errands, see friends, and get to appointments without depending on others every single time.
