Eliza is a sweet and reserved foster youth enrolled in a program that supports high school students in care as they prepare for college, careers, and independent living. This year-round initiative focuses on leadership, academics, and life skills.

For Eliza, this three-week trip to New York is a chance to learn new things beyond what she learns in class. She will join 60 other young people from foster care in a special program that helps them explore colleges, job ideas, and the diverse culture of a vibrant city. As she faces new experiences and challenges, Eliza will gain skills, confidence, and memories that can help shape her future. We want to give the participants digital cameras so they can capture their experiences and keep a personal record of this amazing adventure.
