Lyla has aged out of foster care and currently lives independently. She is working hard to find a job and finish school. She describes herself as bubbly, talkative, and very ADHD, and enjoys connecting with others when she feels comfortable. Some of Lyla's interests include spending time outdoors, swimming, walking trails, going to arcades, bowling, reading, visiting libraries, and dreaming of going to the lake.

Lyla’s prescription glasses recently broke, leaving her without proper vision correction. Since she cannot afford a replacement, she has been wearing a used pair of glasses she found, but they are not the correct prescription and are causing frequent migraines and eye strain. Lyla is currently unemployed and actively looking for work, which makes it difficult for her to cover the cost of new glasses. While Medicaid will cover part of the expense, she is still responsible for an out-of-pocket portion that she is unable to afford at this time.
