Richard is a young man living in foster care with is aunt and uncle. He is diabetic and struggles with the limitations this puts on him. He is a good student and works hard to keep his grades up. He is a hard worker and likes to do odd jobs for extra spending money. His favorite hobbies are playing video games and playing basketball.

Richard is a grateful young man who rarely asks for much. Most of his clothing and shoes come from big box stores, and he is always appreciative of what he has. One thing Richard has always wanted is a pair of Air Jordan Nikes. Having a pair of shoes he has admired for so long would make him feel confident and excited. He would love the opportunity to wear them with pride and show his friends a pair of shoes he feels really good about. These shoes would give Richard a boost of confidence and the joy of having something special that he has dreamed of owning.
