Julianna is preparing to embark on a life-changing journey by attending college, a milestone achieved through determination, resilience, and hard work despite significant financial hardship. For Julianna, higher education represents hope, opportunity, and a chance to break the cycle of poverty that has shaped much of their life. While they are excited to begin this new chapter, the reality of their circumstances presents challenges that many of their peers will never have to face. Coming from a low-income household, even basic necessities such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and other hygiene products are difficult to afford. As they prepare to move away for school, the stress of not knowing how these essential items will be obtained weighs heavily on them.
