Sofie struggled when she moved to her new foster home. She missed her younger sibling and retreated to her room. She was unwilling to engage with her foster family until Max came along. Once this puppy came into her life she became interested in all things canine related and interested in her foster family. Her grades improved, and she even brought a friend from school home to meet Max. Plans to reunify Sofie with her mom are underway.

Sofie is thankful for her puppy, Max, and enjoys the responsibilities of training, feeding, and walking him. She also wants to help her foster family by contributing a bag of puppy food. This gesture will help her feel more connected to the family until she can be reunited with her own..
