Say Yes BuffaloAugust is a joyful, mostly nonverbal child with autism who has significant sensory needs. He resides in transitional housing with his mother and siblings after experiencing homelessness. August loves music, exploring, and interactive games. He is a bundle of energy, and his smile would light up the whole room!
August and his family have been residing in transitional housing, and this has been very helpful to the family. Currently, as August is a child with developmental delays, he is still working on potty training. He also has significant sensory concerns, which impact his ability to wear coverings/garments typically worn when potty training. Because of this, his family would benefit from protective floor coverings that can easily be cleaned/thrown away. Without this, his family is at-risk of failing health and safety checks for their apartment- which could result in eviction.
