A quiet and reserved artist, Elena is selective about the people she allows to get instantly close. Once you get to know her, however, you can clearly see that the beautiful art is a true testament to the beautiful person she is inside and out. Elena has been challenged this year while completing homebound education. This came along with challenges as she and her guardian had to navigate technology and a lack of social opportunities. Elena has spent her life in kinship care with her grandmother and sister. Despite these challenges, Elena has maintained a sense of humor and fighting spirit for the best future that she deserves.

Elena has been through a lot of changes recently. She is now being homeschooled and living with her grandmother and younger sister in kinship care. Even with these challenges, she continues to stay positive and keep moving forward. A bike would give Elena a fun way to get outside, stay active, and take a break from stress. It would help her build confidence, enjoy some independence, and create happy memories.
