Adela spent seven years in the foster care system, which gave her experience outside of her broken home, and showed her just how worthy and deserving of a happy and healthy life she is. Since then, Adela has committed herself to building that life for herself. Every day, she perseveres in order to provide for herself and her child, and feels grateful for where she is, the woman she has become, and the people around her. Adela hopes to become as educated as she can be, and to pursue a fruitful career while being a role model for her son. She loves finding new crafts at Hobby Lobby, discovering new makeup, and enjoying parks and arcades with her son.

Adela's closet is overflowing with clothes and belongings for herself and her sons, creating a constant sense of clutter in their space. She hopes that a new dresser will help organize her clothes and her baby's clothes. This would be a significant change for Adela, making her room feel more like a home.
