AZ DCS - Mohave CountySavannah is a bright, outgoing person who has faced several challenges over the past few years. As she navigates adolescence, she has also worked through struggles with her mental health and the adjustments that come with changes in family dynamics, including welcoming a stepfather into her life. Despite these challenges, Savannah continues to show resilience, determination, and a positive spirit. Savannah and her family are actively participating in in-home services to strengthen family relationships and support her emotional well-being. Living in a rural community with limited access to resources and activities, opportunities for enrichment and support can be difficult to find. Even so, Savannah remains hopeful, social, and eager to continue growing into the confident young woman she is becoming. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new interests, and finding positive outlets for self-expression.
Savannah wishes for a tablet that would allow her to participate in virtual counseling sessions from the comfort and privacy of her home. Due to her struggles with mental health and anxiety around in-person interactions, Savannah feels much more comfortable opening up and engaging with a counselor through virtual appointments. This format has helped her build trust, communicate her feelings more freely, and make meaningful progress toward her goals. Living in a rural area with limited access to resources, transportation, and local mental health services can be challenging for Savannah and her family. Fortunately, the family has reliable internet access and a safe, quiet space on their property where Savannah can attend counseling sessions without distractions. A tablet would provide her with consistent access to the support she needs, helping remove barriers to services and allowing her to continue focusing on her emotional well-being and personal growth. A tablet would be more than just a device—it would be a tool that empowers Savannah to access vital mental health support, build coping skills, and continue her journey toward confidence, healing, and a brighter future.
