An Electric Tricycle for Jayden
Jayden, 16 years old, NJ |
Wish submitted by:
Bayshore Family Success Center (YMCA of the Jersey Shore)Jayden lives with his single mother and younger brother, and despite being on the autism spectrum, he embraces life with enthusiasm. His passion for playing video games is matched only by his love for camping and outdoor activities. Whether he’s exploring nature or bonding with his family, Jayden's spirit and determination shine through, proving that he can enjoy life to the fullest.
Jayden is a genuinely kind and creative teenager who has encountered his fair share of challenges growing up with autism. Navigating issues with mobility, balance, and sensory sensitivity has made socializing and physical activity tough for him at times. Thankfully, he has a loving family, his mom, little brother, grandparents, and aunts, who support and encourage him every step of the way. However, there’s a part of him that wishes he could connect more with his dad, who often pushes him to be more active. That’s why Jayden dreams of having an electric tricycle. He pictures himself finally being able to go on the family bike rides he’s longed for since he was a toddler. Although balance issues have kept him from enjoying that experience, an electric tricycle would give him the confidence and freedom to join his family outdoors, making cherished memories together and strengthening their bonds.
