Angel is a bright young man who enjoys playing different sports, hanging out with his family (including his little sister), and skating with his friends. Angel has been in and out of the foster care system since he was a baby. At times, he returned to his parents, but was then removed again on multiple occasions. Angel has flashbacks from his past, and he is reminded of the hardships he went through in the care of his parents, but also in the care of some foster homes. Despite all of this, Angel remains a respectful young man who still laughs and makes jokes with his social worker and with those around him.

Angel recently achieved a major milestone by graduating from middle school, which is especially impressive given that he had to attend five different schools during his time in foster care. He faced significant academic struggles and was at risk of not being promoted, but his determination shone through. When his teacher told him he needed to improve, he didn't shy away; instead, he asked her how he could turn things around. With a lot of hard work and dedication, Angel managed to raise his grades just in time to walk across the stage. For his graduation gift, he simply asked for a gift card to buy some new clothes and sporting supplies for the summer, showing that he has his sights set on a brighter future.
