Aniya is an inspiring young woman who has shown amazing strength throughout her life, moving through various foster care situations since she was little. Even with all the ups and downs, she holds onto the hope of finding a loving family where she feels safe and truly belongs. She dreams of the simple pleasures of family life, going to school regularly, sharing meals, enjoying outings, and attending church with caring adults who support her. Bright and outgoing, Aniya works hard in school and takes pride in her A and B grades. She loves listening to music, trying out new makeup and hairstyles, dining out, visiting amusement parks, and roller skating. Aniya is friendly and talks easily with others, always eager to make meaningful connections. With the right love and support, she has every chance to thrive and build a bright future for herself.

Aniya is really hoping to get a refurbished iPad so she can stay connected with the supportive people in her life throughout her foster care journey. After losing her previous iPad during a recent placement transition, she’s been struggling to communicate with her CASA volunteer and caseworker, two trusted adults who have been there for her over the years. Having an iPad would mean the world to Aniya; it would allow her to keep in touch with her mentors, join virtual meetings when needed, and maintain those important relationships that give her encouragement and a sense of belonging. For Aniya, receiving an iPad isn’t just about getting a device, it’s about having a lifeline to the people who make her feel seen, valued, and never alone.
