Braeden entered foster care several years ago and struggled with being away from his family for an extended period. During this challenging time, he felt lost, particularly as he tried to find his identity as a young teenager. However, Braeden has spent a significant amount of time in therapy, discovering positive coping strategies to help him through this difficult period. He developed a passion for sports and participates in football, wrestling, and baseball. Braeden enjoys going to school and has a particular interest in math and science. In his spare time, he loves playing video games. Plus, Braeden has found a sense of belonging at church; he attends regularly and is active in the youth group.

Braeden is passionate about sports and understands the importance of doing well in school in order to continue participating. He is motivated to succeed academically because he knows that strong performance in the classroom allows him to pursue the activities he enjoys most. Being an athlete gives Braeden a sense of purpose, belonging, and camaraderie. Receiving school supplies will help ensure he is prepared for the start of the school year, giving him the tools and confidence he needs to achieve academic success while continuing to pursue his passion for sports.
