Jamie is a resilient, ambitious, and compassionate young woman who recently aged out of the foster care system. Demonstrating incredible determination, she graduated high school this past spring and is eagerly preparing to begin cosmetology school next month. Jamie has a wonderfully creative spirit, enjoying drawing and listening to music in her free time, and she deeply treasures the close relationship she maintains with her siblings.

For Jamie, a couch is more than furniture. It is a meaningful foundation for her first home and an important part of her journey toward independence. As a young adult aging out of foster care, Jamie is stepping into adulthood with limited resources while working hard to create a safe, comfortable, and stable home of her own. A couch would give her a welcoming place to rest after school and work, study, recharge, and spend meaningful time with her siblings and supportive family members when they visit. Most importantly, it would transform her apartment from a place she lives into a place that truly feels like home, providing comfort, connection, stability, and a sense of belonging as Jamie takes her next steps toward the future she is working so hard to build.
