Lyndsey is regarded as being tenacious and brave. She has spent much of her teenage years navigating the uncertainty, loss, and loneliness that often comes with living in kinship care. Despite these challenges, she continues to face each day with remarkable resilience, kindness, and hope for her future. Living with severe ADHD, PTSTD, and anxiety has made everyday tasks, emotional regulation, and being in public especially difficult. Her mental health providers have recommended a service dog to help increase her confidence, independence, and ability to regulate overwhelming emotions. And in the near future she will be bringing home her new Bernedoodle puppy that will be trained to support her!! Lyndsey has an incredible connection with dogs and is often described as a "dog whisperer" because of her calm, gentle nature. Being around dogs brings out her confidence and helps her feel grounded in ways that few other things can. She has recently begun taking brave steps to build healthy friendships and expand her support system after years of feeling isolated. Those steps reflect the strength it has taken to keep trusting others despite everything she has experienced. Lyndsey is a resilient, compassionate, and funny young woman who deserves the opportunity to continue building a future filled with confidence, connection, and hope.
