Journae is an incredibly kind, compassionate, and intelligent young woman who has overcome many challenges with remarkable resilience. Despite facing significant hardships throughout her life, she has persevered largely on her own. In pursuit of a safer, more stable future, she made the courageous decision to relocate from Northern California to San Diego to leave behind an unsafe family environment. Since then, Journae has made tremendous progress. She recently moved into a transitional housing program, successfully completed her high school education through an online program, and is actively seeking employment. She is also committed to improving her mental health and is intentionally focusing on her personal growth, healing, and building a positive future for herself.

As Journae settles into her new transitional apartment, she is excited to transform it into a cozy, comforting sanctuary that feels uniquely hers. Because her home currently has very little furniture, she is wishing for a pink bedroom dresser—in her favorite color—to provide essential storage and keep her clothing organized. Having this dresser will not only help her maintain a tidy, functional space, but it will also give Journae a sense of comfort and pride as she furnishes her space and builds a fresh start.
