Maya is a very outgoing and personable girl who is currently experiencing foster care and placement away from her siblings. She is presently living with a foster family, though this has not always been the case. Maya has been through past placements, including time in a group home, before finding her current foster home. Despite these challenges, Maya continues to try to make the best of her situation.

Maya has wanted to get more involved in school sports. Her foster parents signed her up for a sports trial camp. She is super excited, as it is designed for kids to try different sports and see what they like before the school season starts. She is in need of a good pair of tennis shoes for this camp that can't be worn outside.
