Benjamin is a bright, resilient little boy who has experienced more than any child should. He entered foster care with his younger brother due to parental substance abuse, neglect, and domestic violence in the home. The boys were initially placed with relatives, but the placement was unable to meet their emotional and developmental needs, leading them to be placed in another foster care. Benjamin is a caring big brother who loves spending time with his younger brother playing, exploring, and simply being a kid whenever he has the opportunity. Because of inconsistent school attendance before entering care, Benjamin has fallen behind academically and is working hard to catch up. He also struggles with emotional regulation and can become overwhelmed when he is frustrated or upset, often shutting down or reacting with big emotions. With patience, consistency, and support from his foster family, Benjamin continues to make progress each day.

Benjamin would be thrilled to have a bicycle of his own. Riding a bike would encourage him to spend time outdoors, stay active, and enjoy fun adventures with his younger brother and foster family. It would also provide a healthy outlet for exercise, confidence-building, and creating positive childhood experiences that every child deserves.
