Damien entered foster care alongside his older brother after experiencing parental substance abuse, neglect, and domestic violence in the home. The boys were first placed with relatives, but because of their ongoing emotional and developmental needs, they eventually transitioned into a regular foster care home. Damien is a sweet, energetic little boy with a big imagination and an even bigger heart. He loves spending time with his older brother and looks up to him in so many ways. As he prepares to start school this year, his foster family is excited for this new chapter while also recognizing that he may need extra support after missing important developmental opportunities early in life. Damien is still working on potty training and is learning healthy ways to express his feelings and regulate his emotions. With encouragement, structure, and love, he continues to grow and reach new milestones.

Damien would love to have a bicycle of his own so he can spend more time outside playing with his brother and foster family. Riding a bike will help him build confidence, improve his coordination, and enjoy all the fun that comes with being an active four-year-old. A bike would provide countless opportunities for laughter, adventure, and creating happy childhood memories.
